How likely will Trump win again in 2020
There are many questions people all over the world are asking about the 59th quadrennial presidential election of the United States of America. The presidential election is said to take place on the 3rd of November next year. On the other hand, the inauguration of the winner would be on 20th January 2021. Many citizens of America and experts are asking if the current United States president Donald Trump can win again in 2020. Many believe that president Donald Trump can win the election next year if he runs for re-election. He is said to be the favourite to emerge winner of the presidential election. The bookmakers together with many others are currently in support and in agreement that Trump has all it takes to win for the second term despite the recent polls.
Why Trump Can Win Again
Their reason is not far but very simple as it is believed that every current president always have an advantage to win people that are contesting with him.. Right from the year 1900, 20 United States presidents have run for the second term. Out of the 20 re-elections, they current presidents won 15 times.
They current president have only lost 5 when you add the past president Gerald Ford who missed re-election in the first place at the ballot box. It is very clear from new history that there is a small relationship between a president’s first midterm election. Also, there is a closeness when they come out to contest for the position again. To add to this above fact, 2020 Electoral College playing field will have similar features to the 2016 edition. 40 states in the country had already made a decision while the 10 others are up for grabs.
This is very clear why many see the current president Donald Trump has a good chance of winning the presidential seat again. To stop this from happening, the Democratic Party presidential nominee must be ready to sweep the Rust Belt: Pa., Mich., Wi., Minn. Another way the Democratic presidential aspirant can stop Trump from winning again is to dislodge Arizona or Florida from him. It is of good to know that this is a very difficult task and the possibility is very thin.
As a president who is on seat, the major concern is not a political party’s president aspirant or ticket. It is not even the Russian investigation. Rather if the United States of America will endure recession next year. When the president Donald Trump told the Fox Business Network’s Trish Regan last year in October that is a major challenge was the Federal Reserve, it was believed that he is very close to the mark.
It is good to know that all these do not in any way suggest that president trump will win. It does not mean he is good in every angle. According to the report by Charlie Cook, Donald Trump has some vulnerabilities. So the question, can Trump win in 2020 is not easy to answer. For Donald Trump to win next year as the president, he need to take the Democratic advantage on healthcare.
He also need to increase his voter appeal. He must shine as well on the Democratic Party’s cantankerous ways in Congress immediately that they party has the House back.
The Possible Opposition
Democratic political party energy in the perennial battleground state of Pennsylvania is giving rise to many questions. The questions are about the current president Donald Trump’s ability to repeat his good presidential victory in 2016. This has never be done before by the Republican Party for close to two decades.
Democratic Party has been winning big victories in municipal races across Philadelphia. They have also won in United States of America last two years. These have made them have a remembrance of the post-Watergate Republican defeats. After four months democratic also gave Donald Trump’s Republican an embarrassment during the nationally watched special election in Pittsburgh. This is the same place Donald Trump once won by 20 percentage points.
In the November’s midterm election, the Republican Party has lost more than two congressional seats. Also, the GOP’s Trump-hugging senatorial and governorship candidates were defeated by double digits. After these major defeats, the Republican Party are gradually recovering from all of them. In some cases they assumed their poor performance mean nothing good for president Donald Trump’s chances at the election next year. Those that are very far from the biggest and major metropolitan locations see it as nothing to worry about. With up to 20 electoral votes, Pennsylvania is very vital for the presidential election competition. Donald Trump carried it by dividing his presidential support with both the white and working-class voters beyond Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
There are many politicians in Republican part in Pennsylvania’s largest metro locations who question if president Donald Trump can stand out again within the rural voters and conservative Democrats.
These Republican figures are aware of moderate suburbanites and a supercharged anti-Trump coalition of liberal voters that gives the political party victories in the last two years and inflicted losses on the party unlike anything seen during the 2016 election when a coalition that is similar was formed.
Alan Novak is one the politician in Republican party that question the possibility of president Donald Trump winning next year.
Alan Novak who was a former state party chairman wonders if Trump “fatigue” in the coming year will decrease the big margins elsewhere that helped Trump defeat heavy losses during the 2016 election in Philadelphia and its environment. Alan Novak said that president Donald Trump’s base is solid but don’t know if the base is enough.
You cannot give a direct answer if Trump will win the election next year. The president chances of winning has a lot to do in the investigation that is carried out by Robert Mueller into whether Donald Trump’s campaign coordinated with Russia.
This investigation has been a constant turmoil in the presidential administration. Another thing that will decide is Trump can win in the next year’s presidential election is the presidential candidate the Democratic Party will produce.
